Blessing of the Animals
The 13th annual Blessing of the Animals was held on October 4, the Feast Day of Saint Francis of Assisi (c. 1180–1226), patron saint of animals and the environment. School was a literal zoo as we celebrated our four legged, scaly, and stuffed friends of all shapes and sizes. Students, parents, and their pets gathered on The Green before school and Father Jim Curran, Chaplain, blessed each and every animal, including photos of pets not able to attend.
