  • Alumni Notes - Fall 2018

    Kathleen Kelly ‘10  
    This summer Kathleen began public health coursework towards an MD/MPH degree at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and is excited to be learning clinical skills, anatomy, and the fundamentals of biomedical sciences.
      
    Jessie Wohner ‘14 
    Jessie attends The United States Merchant Marine Academy in New York majoring in Engineering. She will depart on her first sea tour this June for four months and will participate in another eight month tour her junior year. Jessie will play lacrosse for The Mariners this spring.

    Addison Glenn ‘15
    Addison is a Senior at Granby High School and was elected captain of the Granby Crew Team.

    Brandon Jones ‘15  
    Brandon is a Junior at Bishop Sullivan High School and starts as a  wide receiver for the regional powerhouse Crusaders, leading the team in receiving. He also starts for the Bishop Sullivan basketball team. He has received an offer to play for Howard University. Brandon would like to major in architecture or engineering.  
     
    Alessandra Besachio ‘18
    Alessandra is attending Culver Girls Academy in Culver, Indiana, a college preparatory boarding school. She is enjoying small classes and is successfully completing coursework this semester in Algebra, Spanish, and a Humanities Course in Western Perspectives. Alessandra participates in weekly meetings and events to establish her foundation for leadership at Culver. At the end of January she is looking forward to earning her Culver Girls Academy Crest which recognizes positive citizenship and is the first step in a four year process of growing in knowledge and service to others. Outside of the classroom, Alessandra rowed crew in the fall and is a member of the swim and dive team this winter. She continues to grow in her Life of Spirit through attending weekly Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, and preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Alessandra shares that, while she misses her family, attending Culver is an amazing experience. She loves her new school community, friends, and knows that she is receiving an educational opportunity that will prepare her for future success.

    Katie McCullough, ‘18
    Katie is attending Maury High School and is playing on the Varsity Volleyball Team. The team had a great season and made it to the regional playoffs! Almost half of the players are former Wolfhounds including Erin Nagy, Ellie Louth and Chloe Ventura from Class of 2018 as well as Class of 2016 alumnae, Blake Parker, Lucy Lacore, and Anna Moninger.

    Meghan and Jackie Velotas, ‘18
    The Velotas twins spent some time this summer participating in the ELCAtional Youth Gathering in Houston, Texas working at a literacy fiesta in a Spanish mission in the city. Meghan and Jackie used their Spanish skills to communicate with the Hispanic neighborhood residents and volunteers.
