Feast On the Feast!

On Monday, March 17, we celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with our annual Feast on the Feast. The Feast on the Feast is our opportunity to celebrate the Feast Day of Saint Patrick and welcome our new Wolfhound families that will be joining the Saint Patrick Catholic School community in the 2025-2026 school year. New Wolfhound families were welcomed with cheers at the check-in table and had the chance to take a family photo in front of one of our three “shamrock walls” in the transformed gymnasium.

Bagpipers from the Tidewater Pipes and Drums officially kicked off the festivities by processing around the green and into the gym. They helped put everyone in attendance in spirit of the day and were accompanied by four Irish Wolfhounds. Head of School Lauren Mazzari welcomed the crowd of over 500 and made a point to recognize our new families. Mrs. Mazzari concluded her remarks by introducing Celtic Council President John-John W., who offered an opening prayer. Our very own Dan Pellegrino performed a set of traditional Irish songs as families enjoyed their dinner, followed by a performance by our Irish Dance Club. To close out the program, second grade student Aubrey C. took to the stage and showed off some fancy footwork as she danced to Irish melodies.

As dinner came to an end, our Director of Admissions, Financial Aid, and Enrollment Management Martha Roebuck announced the activities that the Celtic Council had prepared were open! For the remainder of the evening, students enjoyed a variety of games and bounce houses on the Green, on the back field, and in the Dining Hall. We were excited to welcome so many new Wolfhounds into our community and were happy to have them join us for such a fun night!
