Blessing of the Animals - Feast of St. Francis of Assisi

We will celebrate the Feast of St. Francis by blessing all animals, pictures of animals, and stuffed animals. Please bring your pet(s) to the Saint Patrick Green before 7:30 am. Your critters, furry, smooth, feathery, or scaly, are all welcome. The blessing ceremony will begin promptly at 7:30 on the Green. All animals should be on leashes or in appropriate cages, chaperoned by their human companions, and taken from the school immediately following the ceremony. After the blessing, all students will go to their homeroom/1st Bell. IF IT RAINS, THE EVENT WILL BE CANCELLED.

If it is not practical for your child to bring pets, your family can bring a photo of the animal so that the pet can be blessed “in absentia.” If your child does not have a pet, they may bring a stuffed animal or a picture of an animal of their choosing. We are looking forward to welcoming some of the “extended” members of the Wolfhound family.
