Fourth Grade Teams Sweep the TCBL

The Saint Patrick Fourth Grade Boys and Fourth Grade Girls Basketball Teams took home the Tidewater Catholic Basketball League Youth Championship (TCBL) titles on Saturday, March 10. The Fourth Grade Boys team, coached by Erik Porcaro and assistants Daniel Seidensticker, and Rob Nottingham, finished their season with a win over St. John the Apostle in the final round. The Fourth Grade girls triumphed over St. Pius X, led by Coach Matt Louth and Assistant Coaches, Adam Levensalor and Mike Violette. Congrats to both teams!

These teams weren’t the only winners on Saturday. Eighth grader Elly L. was awarded the Dr. Lawrence G. Dotolo Scholarship. The Dotolo Award is presented to an eighth grade basketball player who exemplifies the traits of good sportsmanship and team play. It is an award that emphasizes school spirit, community service, and high academic achievement. This is the fourth year in a row that a Saint Patrick student has been the recipient of this award, and Elly is the fifth student to receive the award in our school’s thirteen-year history.

We are so proud of all of our athletes for their achievements both on and off the court!
