Wolfhound Girls Soccer Named ETIS Champions

The Middle School Girls Soccer Team advanced to the championship game in the Eastern Tidewater Independent Schools League (ETIS) after defeating Norfolk Collegiate 3-0 in the semi-finals. The Wolfhounds faced Cape Henry Collegiate in the finals making for a great soccer match up. However, the Wolfhound team rose to victory when Erin Kate Moore, assisted by Lucy Schuurman, scored the winning goal with less than 9 minutes remaining in the game!

The team played 16 games this season, closing with a 15-1 record. They also became the first team, boys or girls, to defeat every middle school opponent during a season. This certainly speaks of the team’s technical skills but also of their sportsmanship and team collaboration.

Eighth graders, Erin Kate Moore and Andrea Spina, and seventh grader, Lucy Schuurman, were named All-Conference players for the Eastern Tidewater Independent Schools League. This title is awarded to the three top players on each team in the league. Congratulations to our student-athletes for their athletic prowess this season.

Go Wolfhounds!
