On Thursday, May 1, the Business Fair Activity Bell held their inaugural event in the Saint Patrick Catholic School Gymnasium. This group of middle school students spent the third quarter developing business plans, mastering financial literacy, and crafting unique products. The business fair was their opportunity to bring their ideas to life and to put their business acumen to the test!
Our young vendors packed the gym full of buyers and curious investors. We had Wolfhounds cooking hot dogs, baking cookies, and making bracelets. They sold homemade candles, a whole line of beauty aides, 3-D printed sculptures, homemade dog treats, and more! There was even ax throwing and marketing ploys like a Wolfhound dressed as a banana responsible for drumming up business. Innovation and creative genius are alive and well at Saint Patrick!
By the close of the business fair, students had earned over $2,300! All of the money raised went back to the students to reinvest in their business and to encourage their future entrepreneurial endeavors. We would like to thank Assistant Middle School and Seventh Grade History and Eighth Grade Civics Teacher Kevin Price and Director of Finance Shelley Thomas for leading the Business Fair Activity Bell. We would also like to thank our amazing faculty and staff and our entire parent community for inspiring our Wolfhounds students to take risks and dream big!
