Bee All You Can Bee!

Ten students from the Fifth through Eighth Grades competed in the annual Saint Patrick Spelling Bee on Thursday, January 18. These students studied over 500 words, courtesy of the National Spelling Bee Association,  to prepare for this competition! Students were asked to spell words from levels one through three. After three rounds only two students remained – Sixth Grade student Lindsay B., and Fifth Grade student Myra B. It all might have come down to one word - “superior” – but Lindsay was the last student standing, humble in her victory.

Lindsay will represent Saint Patrick Catholic School in the WHRO Regional Spelling Bee on Saturday, February 10. The regional competition will include words of Latin, Greek, and various other origins. Best of luck, Lindsay!
