Read Across America Challenge!

Who said learning can’t be fun? Each year, the Lower School participates in the National Education Association’s Read Across America Book Challenge and we are excited to announce that First Grade came out on top!

The NEA’s mission is to "celebrate a nation of diverse readers" and the challenge was extended to all Lower School students. Each grade level competed to see who could read the most books during the first week of March and First Grade totaled 319. That's over 6 books per student!

The winning class enjoyed a pizza party and special treat, but to celebrate everyone's participation, ALL of lower school had the opportunity to wear jeans on Friday, March 12th!
