  • Blessing of the Animals

    The Green
The always fun Blessing of the Animals is scheduled for Wednesday, October 2nd at 7:30 am on the Green. We will celebrate the Feast of St. Francis (his feast is actually Oct. 4th) by blessing all animals, pictures of animals and stuffed animals that come. If you would like to participate, please bring your pet(s) to the Saint Patrick Green a bit before 7:30 am. Your critters, furry, smooth, feathery or scaly friends are all welcome.
The blessing ceremony will begin promptly at 7:30 on the Green. All animals should be on leashes or in appropriate cages, chaperoned by their human companions, and taken from the school immediately following the ceremony. After the blessing, all of the students will go into the Theatre for Mass. All are welcome to come. As always, if it is not practical for you to bring pets, your child can bring a photo of the animal so that the pet can be blessed “in absentia.” If your child does not have a pet or bringing one is not convenient, they may bring a stuffed animal or a picture of an animal of their choosing. We are looking forward to welcoming some of the “extended” members of the Wolfhound family.   IF IT RAINS, THE EVENT WILL BE CANCELLED.
