Saint Patrick Catholic School is a place where faith, learning, community, and service are integrated into all that we do so we become and live what we believe. Saint Patrick's spiritual formation program is based on a thoughtfully planned curriculum that promotes both individual and communal experiences in the development of one’s faith. Guided by qualified teachers, this program offers students and parents a collaborative setting that encourages self-reflection, development of faith, and personal goal setting. We are highly intentional with the religion teaching and encourage the discussion of faith, and integrate it throughout our curriculum.
Our school is authentically Catholic and follows the religious education guidelines set forth by the Diocese of Richmond and incorporates the lectionary-based gospel readings of the Liturgical Year. We pride ourselves on being warmly ecumenical as well, and strive to deepen the faith of all in our community. We celebrate all of our clergy both Catholic and those clergy who are friends of other faiths at a special Chapel during Christian Unity Week. Community prayer is held once a week when the whole school gathers to celebrate either Mass or Chapel and all are welcome.
Saint Patrick believes that one of the main purposes of a Catholic education is to teach children to be servant leaders, that is, to instill in them an enjoyment of serving others, as Jesus did. We are Eucharistic people - grateful for God’s graces and gifts of life and love. Our gratitude is manifested in our humble service to one another. At our school, faiths of all are to be celebrated and lived out fully and freely.
