Let the Games Begin

The Saint Patrick Catholic School Gymnasium was at capacity and the decibel level high the afternoon of Friday, December 6. Students in Kindergarten through Eighth Grade gathered for the Basketball Pep Rally which served as the official tip-off for our 2019 -2020 basketball season. Our Third through Eighth Grade teams were introduced, and players from the grade-level teams competed in a number of fun, fast-paced activities. Two of our Middle School teachers even got in on the action competing in state capitals and NBA team name challenges. Mrs. Baggs bested Mrs. Boas in the end. Click here for more photos.

Basketball is a very popular sport at Saint Patrick with 20 Wolfhound teams participating in the Tidewater Catholic Basketball league this year. Some of the teams got a jump on the season participating in pre-season tournaments. The Eighth Grade Lady Wolfhounds started with a win and our Fourth Girls and Boys teams took home trophies in their pre-season tournament at Christ the King. It’s going to be a great season, so be sure to come out and cheer on our teams. GO WOLFHOUNDS!

For those who prefer a racket to a basketball, registration for our winter tennis program has begun! The program, run by Old Dominion University, offers six Wednesday training sessions available to Fourth through Eighth graders.
