Art's Dynamic Duo

Two of our Fine Arts faculty members were featured in The Virginian-Pilot “Guide to Private Education.” Our dynamic duo, Jacki and Suzanne Voorhies, share a passion for art in all its forms and have created an art curriculum based on a foundation of art history. The students study and employ the techniques of over 40 artists or art movements during their time at Saint Patrick. They work in a wide range of materials in the Joan Elizabeth Maus Art Studio. Students’ artwork is on display in the Frances and Harvey Lindsay, Jr. Art Connector throughout the year and also adorns the walls of many Wolfhound homes.

Saint Patrick places emphasis on the inclusion of the arts in the students’ daily instruction; the Fine Arts are integral to our elementary and middle school curricula. Students rotate though the visual arts and performing arts, learning skills that transcend all disciplines. These programs help students further develop as life-long learners. We are so fortunate to have stellar Fine Arts faculty members sharing their talents with our students.
