Dodge Ball = Dollars for Operation Smile

The Saint Patrick Catholic School Operation Smile Club hosted an exciting and very successful fundraising event for Operation Smile on Friday, April 20. More than 80 students from second grade through seventh grade participated in the inaugural Saint Patrick OpSmile Dodge Ball Tournament. The grade level teams faced off in a round robin of fast-paced games. A number of parents, faculty, and staff got in on the action as well. A great crowd was on hand to cheer on the players.

The OpSmile Club, sponsored by Middle School Religion Teacher Mrs. Ertel, did a great job organizing the event, selling sponsorships, and soliciting raffle prizes. They raised over  $4000  from registrations, sponsorship, concessions, raffle ticket sales, and the “Change Makers” campaign. The money raised from this event will cover 16 life-saving, reconstructive surgeries. Sixteen children will have their lives transformed because of the efforts of the Operation Smile Club and the generous supporters.
