With Us in Spirit

“Authentically Catholic and Warmly Ecumenical.” At Saint Patrick Catholic School we live by these words each and every day, but no day is this more evident than Christian Unity Day.

 

Each year, in the spirit of ecumenism, the Catholic Church celebrates the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, and each January we celebrate Christian Unity Day. This year we were not able to invite our community pastors, priests, and ministers to attend our special chapel in person; however, these community leaders were with us in spirit.

 

During this year's chapel, Mr. Hammond reminded us that our interfaith spirit is part of what makes Saint Patrick unique. And Mrs. Jamye Brown shared a gospel reflection about how we can share God’s love with those around us, celebrate our differences, and be welcoming to all in God’s kingdom.
