Announcing the 2020 Servant Leadership Award Honorees

How do you describe a servant leader? Humble, empathic, selfless, compassionate, honest, encouraging, and good role models. These are just a few of the characteristics that our Eighth Grade students attribute to this year’s Servant Leadership Award honorees. The honorees were “revealed” at the Middle School Assembly on Thursday, March 5. These individuals work tirelessly in their parish and community – often unnoticed and without being asked to help. This year’s honorees understand and demonstrate Jesus’ mission through their commitment to serving others. They are giving, they are loving, and they are dedicated to helping others in our community.

Congratulations to the 2020 Servant Leadership Award Honorees:

Gary and Francesca Smith – Sacred Heart Catholic Church

Kathryn Thro – Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church

Sam Cook – The Basilica of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception

Skip Schweizer – St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church

We will recognize and celebrate this year’s honorees at the Servant Leadership Awards Dinner on Saturday, March 28, 2020. Tickets are $10.00 and all proceeds will go towards the Eight Grade class legacy, the Thirteenth Station of the Cross, Jesus is Taken Down from the Cross. Please call 757-440-5500 if you would like to purchase tickets for this event.
