To Families of Pre-K and Kindergarten students,
At this time of year, our Pre-K and Kindergarten students would gear up to participate in our 4th annual TrikeAThon to support The Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters (CHKD). This is a week-long event that teaches young children about bike safety, the hospital, and helping others. We typically celebrate the completion of the week with a big event at school. Traditionally, families and students gather and ride their bikes, trikes, and scooters around the school’s parking lot, which is transformed into a bike track. Obviously, this year’s event will need to be a little different, but we can still support our local children’s hospital and have fun together...from a safe social distance!
Last year, this event raised over $7,500! Every year, the students and families have exceeded the previous year’s goal. We realize that this year may look different for many of our families and friends, but we are still excited to do what we can to continue to help others, have fun, and keep our fundraising local for CHKD!
We are encouraging everyone to make this a fun family event! Encourage friends and family to visit our team webpage at https://www.teamchkd.org/STPCSTrikeAThon2020 to make a donation by Saturday, May 16th. We will all be making donations directly to this page this year. We still want to celebrate together and hope that you (and your family) will be able to hold your own TrikeAThon in your driveway, neighborhood, or local park as a culminating event.
