  • Chapel - Christian Unity Celebration

    In January, the Catholic Church devotes a special week to prayers for Christian Unity to focus on the importance of reaching out to friends in other faith traditions. As an authentically Catholic and warmly ecumenical community, we celebrate this week with a special chapel service followed by a reception in the Harvey M. Francis L. Lindsey Art Gallery.

    Mr. Kypros will delight our community with a piano concert to launch Catholic Schools Week. Following the concert, there will be refreshments in the Lindsay Art Connector where the Lower School Art Show will be on display.

    Lindsay Art Connector
    Art work created by students in grades K-4 will be highlighted in the Frances M. and Harvey L. Lindsay, Jr. Art Connector. Each student will have work on display. An opening reception will take place immediately following the Christopher Kypros piano concert.
  • Catholic Schools Week - Celebrating Your Parish

    Students are encouraged to wear their school uniform to Saturday or Sunday Mass to represent Saint Patrick Catholic School in our community.

    • Deacon Bailey & Sister Emily will speak at Middle School Assembly. 
    • 7th Grade will write letters to Seminarians. 
    • Religion classes will work on a Fruits of the Holy Spirit Activity.

    In celebration of our amazing students, we will have a Schoolwide Recess where lower school classes will be matched up with middle school classes to play games and have fun in the sunshine.

    Saint Patrick Catholic School is a Glasser quality school. Glasser's cognitive form of psychology is a central component of relationship building and conflict resolution at the school.
     
    What do you need to know about Choice Theory that might help you and your parenting? We will explore the answers to that question in this parent sessions.
     
    We think that you will find these explorations interesting and helpful to you and your parenting role as well as in life itself.
  • Catholic Schools Week - Celebrating Nation

    In a special Mass with Father Ayers, we will celebrate our nation with prayers for our leaders and patriotic song. Students are asked to bring in canned food for the hungry in our community. Our goal is to collect 500 cans! The 7th Grade will take a field trip to distribute food at a church foodbank.

    All are welcome to a schoolwide gathering where we celebrate Mass with Father Eric Ayers, our school chaplain.
  • Catholic Schools Week - Celebrating Your Community

    Students will make thank you cards for Norfolk Police Officers in gratitude for all they do to keep our community safe.

    Wolfhound alumni answer questions regarding high school for the 8th grade students and interested 7th grade students.
  • Catholic Schools Week - Celebrating Faculty & Staff

    • Delicious goodies will be provided for the faculty & staff.
    • STEM: A Force for Good Activity - Lower School classes will be matched up with Middle School classes to collaborate and work together on a fun STEM activity.
    • We will have a schoolwide prayer.
    To wrap up a wonderful Catholic Schools Week, Saint Patrick is hosting a Middle School "Snow Ball" Dance from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Christ the King and St. Pius students are invited to attend. Dress is semi-formal. Cost is $15 and a can of food for the poor.
  • “Snow Ball” Middle School Dance

    In celebration of Catholic Schools Week, Saint Patrick Catholic School will be hosting a “Snow Ball” dance.  Middle school students from STPCS, Christ the King, and St. Pius are invited to attend on Friday, January 31st from 7-9 PM. A live DJ and heavy hors d’oeuvres will add to the celebration! All of the proceeds will be given to Children’s Hospital of the Kings Daughters. The dress is semi-formal.
     
    Price: $15 and a non-perishable can of food
