  • Q: I know that volunteering is an essential piece of being a Saint Patrick Catholic School family, where can I find out the best ways to get involved?

Please see our Volunteers page to see how you can get involved.  Please note that ALL Saint Patrick Catholic School volunteers working directly with students must complete the VIRTUS training in advance of participating in any school function. For those volunteers who will be contributing clerical work or will work from home, VIRTUS training is encouraged but not required.
  • Q: In what grades do children bring snack and what is allowed?

All PreK - 2nd graders have snack time. Teachers of 3rd and 4th grades will let students and parents know if they will have a snack time once the teachers know their lunch times.

Due to the number of children with allergies and dietary sensitivities, ONLY FRUIT, VEGETABLES, JUICE, OR WATER are allowed for snack.
  • Q: How do I notify the school about any allergy or medication concerns?

You may contact the School Nurse, Karen Wohner to discuss specific medical questions or issues.
  • Q: When is my first tuition payment due?  How do I pay?

The first tuition payment is due July 31st.

Saint Patrick Catholic School will email a bill to you monthly, then you may choose several options to pay it.

Please refer to the ePayment guide for instructions. Additional tuition and payment questions may be directed to Lisa Lynch.
  • Q: Does the school have an emergency notification system?  How will I find out if there is an early dismissal, school cancellation, or late start due to weather?

We use a telephone broadcast system called SchoolReach. This system will enable school personnel to notify all households and parents, by phone, within minutes of an emergency or unplanned event causing early dismissal, school cancellation, or late start. If needed, it may also be used to communicate general announcements or reminders. We will continue to report school closings due to inclement weather on the radio, local TV stations, and website. This system will be used in conjunction with public announcements.

When used, the service will call phone numbers in our contact lists and deliver a recorded message from a school administrator. The service is capable of delivering a message to a live answer and answering machine or service. Unanswered calls (phones ringing over 40 sec.) and busy signals will be automatically retried twice, in fifteen minute intervals, after the initial call.

If at any time you think you may have missed a SchoolReach voice message, you may dial our Message Retrieval Line. Using your message designated phone, dial toll-free: 855-955-8500 and follow the prompts to hear any/all messages sent through SchoolReach over the last 30 days. Please contact the school if you suspect your phone number is not being called by the system or if you ever have a phone number change.

    Important to know:
    1) This requires NO registration by the parent on the SchoolReach website.
    2) All information and contact numbers are strictly secure and confidential and are only used for the purposes described herein.

Here is some specific information you should know:

    Caller ID:
Your Caller ID will display 757-440-5500, which is the main number for school.

    Live Answers:
There is a short pause at the beginning of the message, usually a few seconds. Answer your phone as you normally would and hold for the message to begin. Multiple “hellos” will delay the message. Inform all family members who may answer your phone of this process.

    Answering Machines:
If the call is answered by a machine or answering service it will be detected and the massage will play for recording purposes. The phone will ring for up to 40 seconds. Make sure that your machine or service answers after four rings or you may miss the message.

    Message Repeat:
At the end of the message you will be prompted to "press any key" to hear the message again. This is very helpful when a child answers the phone and hands it to a parent, who can then "repeat" the message.

To check past messages, or if you feel a message has been missed, simply dial 855-955-8500 to hear up to 30-days past message history.  To download the SchoolReach app to your mobile device, click here.
