Seventh Grader Wins Saint Patrick Spelling Bee

On Thursday, January 10, seven students from seventh and eighth grade competed in the annual Saint Patrick Spelling Bee. Seventh Grade student, Cameron S., took the title this year. Cameron correctly spelled the winning word “martyr.” Last year’s winner, Jin B., Eighth Grade, was the runner-up.
 
Cameron will be our representative in the regional Virginian-Pilot Spelling Bee, which will be held on February 16 and broadcast live on WHRO-TV beginning at 2:00 PM. The regional competition will include words of Latin, Greek, and various other origins. G-O-O-D   L-U-C-K   C-A-M-E-R-O-N.
