The third annual Saint Patrick Trike-A-Thon was held this past Saturday morning. Our youngest Wolfhounds hopped on their tricycles, bicycles, and scooters and rode through a course in the front parking loop to raise funds for the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters Light the Way campaign. CHKD is “Lighting the Way” this May and every day thereafter to raise awareness of the mental health crisis facing our children. Funds raised from the Trike-a-Thon are earmarked for their new Mental Health facility. Students collected donations from family, friends, and sponsors prior to event day. This event raised over $7,000 – easily surpassing their $5,000 goal!
Pre-K teacher Heather Powers led the effort and shared, “It was a morning filled with love, generosity, and fun! The smiles on everyone’s face told the whole story.” Thank you to all of our Pre-K and Kindergarten teachers, as well as our littlest Wolfhounds, their families, and friends for coming out to support this event. It was a great morning for our youngest servant leaders.
