The Question of the Week will resume in August!
Solemnity of Pentecost
Theme: We are Spirit-filled!
Gospel: John 17:1-11A – Now they know that everything you gave me is from you, because the words you gave me I have given to them, and they accepted them and truly understood that I came from you.
Question for Children: How does having the Holy Spirit in your life make you stronger?
Question for Adults: What strength and power do you get from living in God’s Spirit?
Come
Holy Spirit,
fill the hearts of your faithful
and kindle in them the fire of your love.
Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created
and you will
renew the face of the earth.
Amen.
John 17:1-11a
Prayer is our communication with God and our awareness of God all around us. This communication and awareness may take many kinds of expressions: verbal, actions, reflection, or silence!
Prayer is our main way of building our relationship with Jesus. The closer we grow to Jesus, the more our prayer will change. It will grow deeper and more personal.
Prayer is an attitude; we can turn anything into prayer if we invite Jesus into our hearts, thoughts, actions and motivation. Even studying, working on chores, or playing with friends is prayer when we do it for Jesus.
