Once a Wolfhound, Always a Wolfhound!

On Wednesday, February 14, we celebrated Ash Wednesday with Chapel and the distribution of ashes. In attendance was Class of 2010 Alumnus Jack Wagner. Jack is the husband of Second Grade teacher Hannah Wagner and was joined by their young son. Pete (2012) and Anna (2016) McPhillips were also in attendance, as was first-year Kindergarten Religion Teacher Margaret Lassalle (2015). We love our alumni and were so grateful to have these graduates with us as we celebrated the beginning of the Lenten season.

We believe our Wolfhound Alumni are a vital part of our Saint Patrick Catholic School community, and we encourage all of our graduates to visit often, remain engaged, and let us know about the exciting things they are involved in and how they are sharing their unique gifts with the world. Our alumni come back to campus regularly and can be found joining their former prayer buddies for lunch, visiting their favorite teachers, serving as athletic coaches, performing in theater productions, and assisting as mentors to current students in activities like Model UN. We even had Wolfhound Alumna Corinne Lyons Hupp (2009) on campus on February 13 teaching a yoga class as a part of Evenings at Saint Patrick. She is a certified Athletic Trainer and owner of Hupp To It - Sports Recovery!

Saint Patrick Catholic School is dedicated to building meaningful, long-lasting relationships with every student, and those connections continue to grow even after they graduate in Eighth Grade. Our Wolfhound alumni exemplify the core tenets of our mission which are to educate and nurture the whole child – mind, body, and spirit - to be Christ-centered, compassionate, and courageous servant leaders. We remain proud of all they continue to accomplish and can’t wait to see what the future holds for these young men and women. Whether they decide to stay here in Norfolk or reside on the other side of the world, our alumni will always have a home at Saint Patrick.
