This weekend was the TASL Tournament, ending the Spring soccer season for our U14 Wolfhound team. The kids are coached by Mark Ryan and Coach “D” David Main. After a season of hard work, they went into the tournament with only one loss. They played two games on Saturday, winning 4-1 and 7-1. They played their semi-final game Sunday morning, and won that game 6-0. This put them in the final match up against the team they have battled the last few seasons in the final game. They were both scoreless at the half. Mark gave a great pep talk to the team during halftime, with the “Finishing Strong” flavor. At the end of regulation time, they were still deadlocked 0-0. This took them into overtime, with two five minute halves. After the first five, they switched sides, still scoreless. With 90 seconds left in the match, Finn Stokes had a breakaway, and scored the one and only goal of the game, catapulting them into a 1-0 victory!! This is a THREE-PEAT for the team, winning their bracket for the last three consecutive seasons.
Congratulations, Wolfhounds!
