8th Grader Cameron was invited to compete in the 2010 Virginia Geographic Bee

Cameron has been notified by the National Geographic Society that he is one of the semifinalists eligible to compete in the 2010 Virginia Geographic Bee which will be held at Shenandoah University on April 9, 2010.  As the Saint Patrick Catholic School champion, Cameron took a qualifying test and scored among the top 100 in Virginia.   Of these 100 students, the winner will receive $100, the “National Geographic Collegiate Atlas of the World,” and a trip to Washington, DC where he/she will represent Virginia in the national finals on May 25-26, 2010.  The national winner will receive $25,000 college scholarship, a lifetime membership in the National Geographic Society, and an all-expenses-paid trip to the Galápagos Islands.  Congratulations and good luck, Cameron!
