Bay Youth Orchestras Free Concert – Feb 8, 7 pm
Norfolk Arts Commission and Arts Within Reach present Bay Youth Orchestras in concert at Saint Patrick Catholic School on Monday, February 8th at 7:00 pm. Hear symphonic music presented by the talented young musicians of the Junior and String Orchestras, under the direction of Christina Morton and Beth Argiro. This “American Serenade” program includes a selection by Dvorak from his “New World Symphony,” a variation on “Yankee Doodle” by Vieuxtemps, “Prelude on an Early American Hymn” for strings and harp, and “Bach Country Fiddles,” combining fiddle music with Bach’s compositions. FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
