October Firsts: Blessings and Back to School Night.

In honor of the patron saint of domesticated animals, Saint Francis of Assisi, the fur and four legged   members of Saint Patrick students' family were blessed with holy water.
 
Emily and her brother P.J. brought their pet rabbit.
 
Charlotte and Grace share a warm embrace with their dog.
Mr. McLean donned a friar's frock to be the "honorary" Saint Francis.

Anne Hobbs' daschund is still a wee puppy of six months.

These hounds found out that their masters shop at the same pet store for collars and treats.

Michael, Calli and Eva's pet could not get their blessing fast enough because they had an appointment with a tree. Mom holds on for dear life!
 
McKayla's pet was blessed by proxy. She brought a photograph of her dog to receive the annointing.
 
Even Mr. Hammond's rascally hound dog Huckleberry was on the Saint Patrick Green for a blessing.
Another October "First" included Back to School Night for Parents. Here parents were able to meet teachers and learn about classroom procedures. Mrs. Alvarez confers with Anna's mom.
