Remembering 9-11

1st grader Emma plants a miniature flag on the STPCS green for a special display.

7th grader Phil lends his support in planting flags.

2nd grader Maria enjoys waving the flags as much as planting them.
The miniature flags proudly wave around Saint Patrick green.

In the middle of the green, a commerative 9-11 flag shares space with Old Glory.

Safety Patrol members Cameron and Adaira raise the American Flag to half-staff while members of Norfolk's Fire-Rescue,  Chesapeake Fire Department, ODU Campus Police, and Lt. Col. Phillips stand at attention.
The guests for this special assembly included parents who daily give their lives for the sake of the community in their jobs as police officers,  fire-rescue workers and military personnel. For their effort, students gave them one white rose.

Following the assembly, Engine No. 2 received a send-off from the 2nd graders of Mrs. Brown's Class.

The safety patrols (from left to right): Cameron, Calli, Shelby, Emily, Ward and Adaira (not pictured) represented the color guard during the presentation of the flags.

The entire student body assembled in front of the school to pay respect and acknowledge those persons who became heroes on September 11, 2001.
