Saint Patrick Catholic School recently celebrated the many talentsin the performing arts of its students by putting on the first
Talent Show in the school's brief history
. The show was not only a celebration of singing, dancing and playing musical instruments, it was fundraiser for one of the student body's philanthropic efforts: ending slavery in the African nation of Madagascar. Following the performance of the Talent Show, the audience was asked to leave a donation for that cause. Taking part in the Talent Show included
Claire and Aven, kindergarten students who danced to the Ashlee Simpson song, "My Boyfriend;"
The Middle School Strings who played Beethoven's "Ode to Joy;"
Celine, a 1st grader who displayed her hulahooping skills to
Mr. Kypros' piano accompaniment; the magic act of
Maxwell, also a 1st grader; the dance and gymnastic skills of
Coco, Courtney, and
Calli, all of the 4th grade; kindergarten student
