Volunteering in the Media Center
If you are interested in helping with any number of library projects including but not limited to; shelving, processing books, supervising check out, inventory, book fair, read-alouds, etc., please contact Mrs. E. Woodard to discuss possible projects and times.
Thank you for thinking of the Library / Media Center
when you are considering helping at Saint Patrick.
Thinking about donating books…
We welcome book donations at any time. In general, the books should be hard cover in order to sustain circulation for a reasonable length of time. K-8 appropriate reading and interest levels please. Book plates will be placed in donated books commemorating the donation and the person and/or event that the book was purchased for.
In order to celebrate your gifts we would like to promote the following two programs:
Birthday books—celebrate the birthday of your child by donating a book to the media center. Feel free to make the choice based on your child’s favorites or drop an email to Mrs. Woodard for suggested titles.
Adding to the collection —a gift of books to add to the collection are appreciated at any time. They do not need to be brand new. I am currently working on a selection of choices that the students and teachers are requesting. I will work at various times throughout the year on orders and will be glad to share with you some of the titles that you could buy for the school. You are certainly welcome to purchase and donate books of your choice and you can always drop me an email if you would like to be certain that your title will not duplicate a title already placed in the collection.
Again, thank you for thinking of the Library / Media Center when you are considering donations to Saint Patrick.
