Rickie Lynch brings a wealth of experience to Saint Patrick, bringing with her a philosophy of offering differentiating instruction so that every child may reach his/her potential, experience success and become a life-long learner. A 17-year veteran in the Chesapeake School System, Rickie has held several teaching positions including fifth grade teacher and fourth grade language arts teacher for E.W. Chittum Elementary School as well as fourth grade gifted education teacher at Greenbrier Intermediate School. Additionally, Rickie taught at the Laboratory School for the Academically Gifted, where she was primarily responsible for providing differentiated instruction for fourth and fifth grade gifted students as well as teaching the integration of technology and instruction. She most recently served as an eighth grade English teacher for both English-8 and Honors English classes at Hugo A. Owens Middle School.

Rickie earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro and her Masters of Education in Reading from Old Dominion University.

She attends the Catholic Church of St. Mark where she has served as an adult choir member and cantor as well as director of the youth choir.
