Jacqueline VoorhiesArt TeacherJacqueline comes to Saint Patrick after serving for six years as an art teacher for Washington Episcopal School in Bethesda, Md. There, she instructed early childhood, elementary and middle school-aged students in design, drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, murals and photography. She also managed a comprehensive art history curriculum spanning from Greek Civilization and Egyptian art to Impressionism and Cubism. Every child is an artist. ~ Pablo Picasso An accomplished artist and muralist, Jacqueline has created numerous landscapes, seascapes and children's murals in private homes as well as in a host of educational institutions including Washington Episcopal School and Nansemond Suffolk Academy. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University. She also graduated form honors from the Governor's School of the Arts in Norfolk. |
