Heather WilsonLibrary/Media AssistantHeather brings a lot of energy to the youngest of Saint Patrick students. As a Pre-School II Practicum teacher at Old Dominion University's Child Development Center, Heather's responsibilities have included working as lead teacher in the classroom; evaluation and supervision of graduate and undergraduate practicum students; and creation and supervision of developmentally appropriate learning centers for two- and three-year-olds. Education comes from living life, following passions, ~ Anonymous She has also served as a third grade teacher candidate intern at Newsome Park Elementary School in Newport News where she taught math and science and provided differentiated instruction. Heather received her Bachelor of Science in Education and Masters of Education from Old Dominion University. While obtaining her Masters degree, she worked as a graduate teaching assistant for Dr. Katharine C. Kersey, graduate chairperson of Old Dominion's Early Childhood Program. Under Dr. Kersey, Heather maintained and calculated grades for five different graduate and undergraduate programs and worked closely with practicum teachers and professors. |
