Dr. Alberti is one of the most accomplished and respected educators in Hampton Roads, having dedicated more than 35 years to teaching, developing and directing a variety of instructional programs for the Norfolk Public School System, most notably, the school system's Special and Gifted Education program.

For the past 17 years, Dr. Alberti has channeled her knowledge and experience to curriculum development, strategic planning, and continuous quality improvement for Norfolk's city schools. She has provided leadership for adapting instructional strategies and modifying objectives to meet diverse student needs; has developed school, department and division improvement plans targeting improved student performance; has created and adapted curricular frameworks, standards and rubrics for student achievement; and has designed data collection tools and reports to analyze the performance of gifted students.

At Saint Patrick, Dr. Alberti has been responsible for the development of the school's strong academic, faith-based curriculum, one that encourages questions and helps develop critical thinking ability.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Dr. Alberti is a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, the Norfolk Sister City Association, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development and the Virginia Association for the Gifted.

Dr. Alberti received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Old Dominion University; a Masters of Education in Educational Psychology/Gifted Education from the University of Georgia; and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.
