Brooke Hummel

First Grade Teacher

Brooke Hummel will teach Saint Patrick's inaugural class of first-graders. Having served as a kindergarten teacher at Lisby-Hillsdale School in Aberdeen, Md. as well as a first grade teacher at Immaculate Conception School in Towson Md., Brooke has had the opportunity to work with children of very diverse and challenging backgrounds. Her teaching curriculum includes the disciplines of integrated language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, handwriting, character education and religion.

Brooke received her Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Early Childhood Education from Old Dominion University. She also earned her Masters in Education in Early Childhood Education from Towson University.

A consummate athlete, Brooke served as a member and two-time captain of the Women's Division I Lacrosse team at ODU. She was named a two-time Academic All-American by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches' Association, twice named to the All-Colonial Athletic Association Lacrosse team, and was honored four times as an All-CAA Scholar Athlete.
