These are the foundation years. And we never forget what it is we are building.

Saint Patrick Catholic School Arts Program

The fine arts are indispensable to a complete and high quality education, providing a rich and engaging curriculum that instills in children the gifts of self-expression, creativity, self-discipline, and a drive for excellence. Additionally, the creative skills that children develop through the arts carry them toward new ideas, new experiences and new challenges, not to mention personal satisfaction.

Too often in our society the fine arts are the first to be eliminated from school curricula when budgets get tight. This is one of the most unfortunate aspects of our educational system today.

At Saint Patrick, we are very passionate about the arts and believe that early engagement of a comprehensive arts education further enhances our children's intellectual, personal and social development. As such, we have designed a strong curriculum that provides students of all ages with many opportunities to experience and appreciate the arts to their fullest.

Visual arts and performing arts classes are a regular and integral part of our fine arts curriculum. Music classes, choral and drama presentations, painting, sculpture, arts-related field trips, visual art exhibitions and interdisciplinary art experiences are just a few of the artistic disciplines included in our program. In addition to the daily customary classes, students can engage in after-school and weekend arts courses. Instrumental lessons are arranged as the schedule allows.

Music will be an everyday experience for Saint Patrick students as it is integral to daily assemblies, Wednesday Chapel and all major religious and secular events. A variety of arts programs will be presented regularly by the students and for the students in the school's performing arts center.
