Tuition Rates for 2011–2012
The Barry-Robinson Trust is committed to making the Saint Patrick Catholic School education accessible to all parents and their children.
The significant expense of acquiring, constructing and equipping our new campus is funded entirely by The James Barry-Robinson Trust; therefore, there is no capital debt incurred by our families. Furthermore, The James Barry-Robinson Trustees have made an enormous commitment toward offsetting the operating costs of a Saint Patrick Catholic School education in order to maintain the lowest possible tuition. The operating costs of the school (faculty salaries, classroom supplies, utilities, maintenance, etc.) are approximately $13,000 per student per year. However, the tuition is set at less than $7,800 per year. After taking into account all fees, every child is receiving a “silent scholarship” of several thousand dollars per year. This remarkable financial commitment to Catholic education by any one group is extremely rare.

The pre-K 4-year old program will be a ½ day program, 5 days each week. Extended care is available for a limited number of students.
In addition to tuition, there are some additional annual fees for each student. They are as follows:
Annual Enrollment Fee: This $400 fee helps to offset registration, athletic technology and activity expenses. Two hundred dollars ($200) of this amount is due with the signed contract.
Dining Service: All students are required to participate in the dining service lunch program. Cost will be approximately $5 per day.
Student Accident Insurance: The Diocese has asked the school to require student accident insurance of all students. Cost will be approximately $9 per year, per student.
Textbooks: Textbooks are purchased directly by parents. The textbook cost is approximately $375. Please refer to The Wolfhound Ways, our Student-Parent Handbook, under Business & Finance for further information regarding textbook fees.
Uniforms: Uniforms can be purchased through Rose Uniforms. They can be contacted either online at www.roseuniforms.com or by visiting their store in Virginia Beach. For more information please visit their website. Parents Volunteers have organized a “Hound Down” Shop that is open once or twice during the school year. This is the perfect opportunity to donate and/or purchase used uniforms.
Saint Patrick Catholic School understands that tuition and fees can be expensive for families. In addition to the "silent scholarship," The James Barry-Robinson Trust has set aside a financial aid fund. Annual financial aid will be distributed based on need. School officials will use School and Student Service for Financial Aid to assist in determining need. For further financial aid information, please contact Cathy Thaden, Director of Advancement, at 757 213-0820 or email cthaden@stpcs.org.
